TIB pushes for amendment to broadcasting policy

Terming the national broadcasting policy contrary to the Constitution, the Right to Information Act and human rights, the Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) on Thursday asked the government to amend the policy and form an independent Broadcasting Commission of international standard. “Some sections of the broadcasting policy are contrary to the Constitution, the Right to Information Act and human rights. So, the sections need to be amended,” TIB executive director Dr Iftekharuzzaman told a press briefing at a city hotel, according to a news agency.
