Tigers 297 for 6 against Zim

Hosts Bangladesh made 297 for 6 wickets in stipulated 50 overs in the 3rd one-day international (ODI) match against Zimbabwe on Wednesday. Opener Tamim Iqbal was run out after scoring 40 runs while Anamul Haque made 95. Zimbabwe won the toss and opted to field 1st at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium at Mirpur in the afternoon. The Tigers, already 2-0 up in the 5-match one-day international series, started the game today confidently. They won the 1st two ODIs at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong. Having experienced a torrid year prior to the start of their bilateral series against Zimbabwe - southern African country – the Tigers will do just about anything and everything to clinch their first ODI series win in 2014. A win for them today will ensure their 1st ODI series victory over Zimbabwe in nearly 4 years. Bangladesh already won the 3-match Test series 3-0, according to a news agency.
