Friday, 21 November 2014

The Tigers have the opportunity to gain vital rankings points when they go head-to-head in a 5-match one-day international (ODI) series against the visiting Zimbabwe national cricket team starting on Friday afternoon. The first ODI begins at 1:30pm local time at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong. Bangladesh are currently placed 9th with 69 points while Zimbabwe lurk 11 points behind in the International Cricket Council (ICC) team rankings. Bangladesh can further their lead and in the process reduce gap with New Zealand and West Indies, both on 96 points, an ICC media release said on Thursday.
