Friday, 31 October 2025
Bangladesh's struggles in the T20 series against West Indies continued as the hosts fell to a 14-run defeat in the second match in Chattogram. The loss handed the Caribbean side an unassailable 2-0 lead, sealing the series with one game still to play. The third and final match will be played today (Friday), report agencies.
Earlier, Shai Hope's team had edged past Bangladesh by 16 runs in the first T20. Chasing 150 in the second encounter, the Tigers once again faltered with the bat, finishing on 135 for 8.
Ahead of the series, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) had named the squad for the first two matches, keeping the option open for mid-series changes.
However, despite back-to-back defeats, the selectors have opted to retain faith in the same group of players.
Bangladesh captain Liton Das apologized to the bowlers for ruining their all hard works in series after series.
Bangladesh have announced an unchanged squad for the third and final T20:
Litton Das (Captain), Tanzid Tamim, Parvez Hossain Emon, Saif Hassan, Towhid Hridoy, Zakir Ali, Shamim Hossain, Nurul Hasan Sohan, Sheikh Mehedi, Rishad Hossain, Nasum Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman, Tanzim Sakib, Taskin Ahmed, Shoriful Islam.
