Hosts Bangladesh lost four wickets, including that of Mominul Haque and Tamim Iqbal on the first day of their first Test match against Sri Lanka at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur on Monday morning. Bangladesh made only 62 runs losing four wickets in the early hours with Shakib Al Hassan and Mushfiqur Rahim remaining in the crease on 14 and 0 runs respectively when the report was filed at 11:30am. Mominul Haque became the fourth bat to fall when he lofted an easy catch to Sri Lanka’s Vithanage off the bowling of Lakmal. Mominul made 33 off 34 balls. Before him, ace opener Tamim Iqbal returned to the pavilion scoring only six from 28 balls. Marshall Ayub had a rather short stay, as he was dismissed for one run from 6 balls by Angelo Matthews.
