Tigers leave for New Zealand

A 15-member national cricket team, led by skipper Mohammad Ashraful, left Dhaka for New Zealand Wednesday to play three One Day Internationals (ODIs), two Tests and one twenty20 match, besides three warm-up one-day matches, reports UNB.
Bangladesh cricket team will begin a month-long campaign in New Zealand with the warm-up one-day matches against the provincial sides.
They will play the first two warm-up matches against Northern Districts on December 16 and 18 at the Seddon Park in Hamilton and the third warm-up match against Auckland on December 21 at the Eden Park Outer Oval.
Bangladesh will then play a twenty20 match against New Zealand on December 23 at Seddon Park to raise fund for the victims of cyclone Sidr that lashed Bangladesh on November 15.
After a two-day recess, the first of the three-match ODI series between the Tigers and the Black Caps will be held on the Boxing Day on December 26 at Eden Park in Auckland.
The second and the third ODI between the two sides will be played on December 28 and 31 at McLean Park in Napier.
The first of the two-match Test series between Bangladesh and New Zealand will be held January 4-8 at the University Oval in Dunedin while the second Test on January 12-16 at Basin Reserve in Wellington before the Tigers leave for home on January 17.
