Tigers look to defend gold in Asian Games

INCHEON, Sept 28 (BSS): Top order batsman Anamul Haque Bijoy said they are aiming to defend the gold medal in the 17th Asian Games Cricket.
Talking to newsmen Sunday at the LNG field ground, Anamul said: "Our main target is to retain gold and it will not be impossible to fulfill the target if each player to plays their natural games. It's a big opportunity in front of us."
The 21-year-old right handed opener, who is representing Asian Games, for the first time, said all rounder Shakib Al Hasan's appearance in squad is a plus point for us.
He also said that and they would try to play their natural games on the new wicket.
The Tigers found very serious during their three hours practice session at the LNG field ground ahead of the fourth quarterfinal to be held in October 1.
Earlier, Bangladesh men's cricket team won gold and women's cricket team secured silver in the first time of Guangzhou Asian Games backed in 2010.
Earlier on Saturday, a 22-member of star-studded Bangladesh cricket team, led by pacer Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, reached in South Korea to take part in XVII Asian Games Cricket.
