Tigers need to win match against Afghanistan

Tuesday, 18 September 2018

Bangladesh have won against Sri Lanka during the first match of the Asia Cup held in Dubai on September 16. It was a great moment for fans of the Tigers who thrashed the Lankans by 137 runs. Despite retiring hurt, Tamim came to the crease to bat again. This opened up another chance for Mushfiq. He hit three fours and three sixes, adding 32 valuable runs to the team total. A personal score of 144 runs was a heroic effort from Mushfiqur. Hats off to Tamim and Mushfiqur Rahim for their performance! Bangladesh gained a fighting total of 261 runs. Mithun also helped Mushfiqur by scoring 63 runs to solidify the total for Bangladesh.
During Bangladesh's fielding, Mashrafe played the role of the captain very well as he knocked two crucial wickets. Mustafizur was also effective as he took two wickets. Bangladeshi bowlers bundled out the Sri Lankan with a score of 124 runs.
I hope that Bangladesh will win their next match against Afghanistan, with whom they have a score to settle. Hopefully, the Tigers will play with the same spirit and get to the Super Four round. Well done and best of luck to Mashrafe and Company!
