Bangladesh clinched the five-match Bashundhara Cement One Day International (ODI) series beating Zimbabwe by 124 runs in the third match at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the city Wednesday, reports UNB.
Chasing a target of mammoth 298 runs, the visiting side were bundled out for 173 runs in 39.5 overs.
For Zimbabwe, skipper Elton Chigumbura scored not out 53 runs off 46 deliveries with four fours and two sixes while Brendan Taylor made 28 runs facing 40 balls with five fours.
Arafat Sunny was the most successful bowler for the Tigers capturing four wickets for 27 runs in 8.5 overs.
Besides, captain Mashrafe Mortaza and Rubel Hossain took two wickets each conceding 20 and 22 runs respectively.

After the departure of Tamim, number three Mominul Haque (15) was caught by Timycen Maruma off H Masakadza at 160 for 2 in 33.4 overs.
The highest scorer for home side, Anamul Haque fell victim of nervous ninety after scoring 95 runs off 120 balls with nine fours before caught by Shingi Masakadza off Tafadzwa Kamungozi with team score at 167 for 3 in 35.1 overs.
Later, he was adjudged man of the match.
Anamul missed his 4th ODI ton from a short ball angling towards leg stump as he sent it straight into the hands S Masakadza at deep midwicket.
In the 4th wicket stand, all rounder Shakib Al Hasan pairing with Test captain Mushfiqur Rahim hammered 72 runs in 8 overs before Shakib was caught by Zimbabwean skipper Elton Chigumbura off Tinashe Panyangara at 239 for 3 in 43.1 overs.
Shakib scored a quick-fire 40 off 33 balls with four fours while Mushfiqur made 33 runs off 22 balls with three fours and a six before being bowled by T Panyangara.
