Bangladesh take on visiting West Indies in the second and last Test of the Walton two-match series at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur today (Saturday), reports UNB.
The match will start at 9:30 am.
All rounder Shakib Al Hasan, who captured four wickets in the first Test, said he would try to take wicket in each spell in the second Test.
But, the spot light must be on spinner Elias Sunny, who grabbed seven wickets in his debutant Test in Chittagong. During the Test, the Caribbean batsmen were seen helpless in the face of his fierce bowling attacks and went under pressure.
The left-arm spinner as still hungry and wants to continue his prolific form in second Test to avoid any criticism.
Shakib is a dependable all rounder and when he would show his best the team will be benefited, left arm spinner Sunny told a questioner during the practice session Friday.
Left-hand batsman Shahriar Nafees, who had strived to make his place in the team, also got back his confidence after his performance in the first Test in Chittagong.
Nafees, who got back his confidence after two good innings in the first Test, said "There will also be two innings in the second Test and I will try to show my best."
He added, "My coach has given me some tips and advised me to play cautiously in the second Test."
Off form opener Imrul Kayes is also struggling to get back his form after a poor show in Chittagong.
During the practice session Friday, he said he is struggling to get back his form.
All-rounder Nasir Hossain said he would try to bat and bowl according to plan in the second Test.
West Indies captain Darren Sammy said he is hoping for a better show from his batsmen when his side faces Bangladesh in the Second Test.
The Caribbean side performed a modest display in the first innings of the first Test drawn in Chittagong.
Only Sammy, with his maiden Test half-century, passed fifty as the West Indies were undermined by a six-wicket haul from debutant left-arm spinner Elias Sunny.
