Friday, 5 September 2014
Bangladesh will take on hosts West Indies in the first cricket Test of their 2-match Test series at Arnos Vale Ground in Kingstown today (Friday). The match will begin at 8:00 pm (Bangladesh standard time). The two teams reached St Vincent on Wednesday. The Tigers and the Windies have played 10 Test matches since 2002. West Indies posted six wins against Bangladesh’s two. They drew the two other matches. Before Friday’s Test, Bangladesh drew their 3-day practice match with St Kitts & Nevis, which ended on September 1 at Warner Park, Basseterre, St Kitts. Left-arm spinner Elias Sunny has replaced Sohag Gazi in Bangladesh side for the 2-Test series. Earlier, the one-off T20 international between the Tigers and the Windies was washed out on August 27 while Bangladesh suffered a 0-3 humiliating by the Caribbeans in the 3-match ODI series, according to a news agency.
