Tigresses eye T20 WC Qualifier Title

The Bangladesh Women's team are optimistic about winning the ICC Women's T20 World Cup Qualifiers for the fourth time after securing six consecutive victories in the tournament, reports BSS.
The Tigresses had already sealed their qualification for the Women's T20 World Cup, scheduled to be held in England and Wales in June-July, even before their sixth match.
However, their hunger for success remains undiminished, as evidenced by their commanding 90-run victory over Thailand on Friday.
"We have already won six matches in a row and still have one more game to play. No doubt, we will try to maintain this winning run and become champions," Vice-captain Nahida Akhter said in a video message released by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Saturday.
The left-arm spinner has played a key role in the team's consistent performances, claiming five wickets in four matches while conceding 108 runs at an economy rate of 7.2.
However, the 25-year-old believes Bangladesh's success has been driven by collective effort rather than individual brilliance.
"We've been playing as a unit and performing well in all three departments," Nahida said.
"The batters, in particular, deserve special mention as they are in great form. Hopefully, they can carry this momentum forward," she added.
While the qualifier title remains in focus, Nahida also emphasised the importance of preparation for the Women's T20 World Cup, which is still several months away.
"Before the World Cup, we have around four to five months," she said.
"We want to use this time properly and go into the World Cup with the best possible preparation. That's our ultimate goal."
