"I wish I had more time to answer the questions better" or "I just could not answer one question for lack of time" these are very common saying by students just after they come out of any examination hall. This is very unfortunate for examinees not to answer questions just for lack of time even though they know the answers very well.
Time management in the examination hall is of utmost importance. You studied throughout the year very well and you could not perform in the exam hall, what can be more unfortunate than that? All your year-long labour go in vain if you cannot write in the exam hall.
While you need to be serious for studies for any particular course, you also need to make sure that you can reproduce/represent them in the exam hall because it is your performance in the exam hall that will speak for yourself in the evaluation sheet. Also, if you can perform and are evaluated in consistent with your year-long labour, you will feel more confident and you will get boldness to move forward in life. On the contrary, if you cannot perform the way you have studied for months, you will probably lose confidence.
Exam hours are very crucial for anyone's success. You must know how to cross the hurdle skillfully. The following tips might be helpful for you:
First, read the question paper thoroughly as soon as you are allowed to do so. Formulate a total idea of what you are going to answer. Divide your time accordingly. If possible, make a routine to decide yourself what you are going to answer next to what.
Second, keep time in hand for revision. Plan and act in such a way that you have some minutes left at your disposal to review what you have produced.
Third, read the question again and again while answering any broad question so that you are not derailed. By doing so, you can make your answer relevant. Otherwise, there is always chance of writing irrelevant points.
Forth, appear mock tests prior to the final examinations. Such drills will help you make your real examinations easier.
Fifth, be fast from the very beginning of the exam. In most of the cases, students are rather slow in the early hour of the exam. In order to cover and keep time in hand, you must be very swift from the very beginning of the examination.
