Time pressure to accomplish tasks smoothly

WHEN I was in the university, my teacher observed I was not quick enough in writing the answers in the examination hall. One day he called me after the test and suggested to practise two-minute writing theory. That is, I could write on any topic exactly for two minutes and using as many words as possible. I followed his suggestion and found its tremendous benefits.
I realised time pressure does work!
This is an age of time pressure. This is an age of competition. Today, the more you can win time, it is more likely you will win the race.
There is always time pressure when it comes to appearing at the examinations. Many of us cannot respond to all the answers just for 'limited time'. 'Hey, I knew the answer, but just could not make time' -this is a very common utterance by many students. Value of time is felt acutely then!
In many tests today, examiners keep us in tremendous time pressure. If it is BBA or MBA admission test in IBA of Dhaka University, the question paper is huge and candidates have to answer them in just 2 hours. There is always time pressure in such tests.
Why this time pressure? It is probably to see how quickly you can respond in a critical situation. Acting fast is really required in our professional life. Nevertheless, acting fast is appreciated in any profession.
Self-imposed time pressure helps us accomplish many tasks in a single day. We have ten tasks in hand, and if we can fix deadline for every task, and if we are very serious, we must be successful. At the end of the day, we will feel assured and relaxed.
On the day we do not create any time pressure , life may be boring and may be at the end of the day we will see we have done almost nothing. We will feel like underachievers.
Time pressure helps us focus on our duties, when we complete we become more confident.
Time pressure makes our works interesting. We do not get tired easily.
How do we answer so many questions in three or four hours in exams? During exam, time pressure works at its best.
While working under time pressure, our minds get very little time to think about anything unnecessary or irrelevant. So we can give full concentration, our mind works a few times more, just like a magnifying glass through which we can see anything bigger.
Working under self-imposed time pressure will help us break our own records that we made in the past. If competing with others is not the right way, then let us compete with our own records. What can be of more excitement than that?
