Time to be cautious about health
Saturday, 30 May 2015
We are experiencing a hot and sweltering summer and the hot spell will continue for some time more. So we need to prepare ourselves to remain fit and healthy during the summer. We should not take foods outside. We should also avoid oily and heavy traditional foods like biryani, polao etc. Instead of heavy foods we should eat vegetables, daal and other light foods that are easy to digest. Let us say a big NO to heavy intakes during the summer. Summer is a hard time for the Dhaka dwellers as we see frequent power outage. Many areas of the city face acute water problems also alongside power cuts. Children and older people are the worst sufferers.
We should wear comfortable clothes instead of slim fit and polyester clothing. We should avoid direct sunlight and carry umbrella to remain safe against sudden heat stroke and a bottle of water so that we can replenish dehydration due to excessive heat and sweating. As parents, we should be extra careful about our children during this time so that they can spend the summer in a hale and hearty manner.
