\\\'Timeless Gitanjali\\\' will be screened in Agartala today

A documentary, titled 'Timeless Gitanjali' directed by Dr Chanchal Khan, eminent Tagore singer and researcher of Bangladesh, will be screened in Agartala today (Thursday), reports UNB.
Manik Sarkar, the Chief Minister of Tripura, will inaugurate the event organised by Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre, in association with the Department of Information, Cultural Affairs and Tourism, government of Tripura.
The screening will be followed by rendition of songs by Dr Chanchal Khan, according to the Indian High Commission in Dhaka.
The documentary was also screened in Kolkata on November 22 at Sri Aurobindo Institute of Culture.
The film traces the history of Gitanjali from its original publication in 1910, leading to its translation and transformation into its English version, the events that shaped its Nobel award, and its relevance in today's world.
