Timeline for college admission sans late fees ends Sunday

The timeline for college admission without late fees for the academic session 2015-2016 will expire on Sunday (July 26). The government on July 5 decided to extend the last date for HSC 1st year admission till July 26 without late fees to avoid unwanted difficulties in the admission process. Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid made the announcement on July 5 at his office regretting the unwanted difficulties in the admission process. “There will be no more problem in college admission and some 0.923 million students have already completed their admission, Nahid said. Students can also get admission till July 26 with late fee, he added. Earlier, the Grade II admission result for 2015-2016 academic year (1st merit list) was published on the night of June 26. The list was available through SMS (short massage service) and at the Class XI admission website (www.xiclassadmission.gov.bd), education boards’ websites, and the institution concerned after 11:30pm that day. The result was scheduled to be announced a day earlier, on June 25. But declaration of results had been postponed for a day due to unavoidable reason, education ministry officials said, according to a news agency.
