Timely publication of results requested

Tuesday, 13 July 2010

May I draw the kind attention of the National University regarding the publication of the results of the different public examinations? For example if the results of LL.B (part-1) examination, which ended on 30th April '10, were published soon the students could save their valuable time to benefit themselves as well as for the greater interest of the country. They would also lessen their parents' burden.
It may be added that the HSC examination was held at the same time of the aforesaid examination, under all the higher secondary boards, and the respective authority has declared that they will publish the result on 15th July'10. This is no doubt a good and bold step and will save a lot of time for the students. They are huge in numbers and if the education boards can publish the result in so short a period, then why can't the National University publish their results at the same time? Hope, the authority concerned will take necessary steps to do the needful in this connection. We want the results published by this month (July '10).
I would request the National University authority to keep the record of the English medium students in the same LL.B examination and accordingly the combined merit list to be separated as Bengali Medium and English Medium, which is being followed in the other public examinations including SSC examination.
I would like to mention here that I was the first and single English Medium student at the masters level in Political Science from the Govt BL College and obtained the same degree brilliantly, taking the first and sixth position in the merit list in both parts. The final examination was held in 1996, the first batch of masters under National University.
