Tipaimukh Dam will be resisted, says Ershad

Our Correspondent NARSINGDI, Dec 10: Jatiya Party Chairman and former President Hossain Mohammad Ershad MP said Jatiya Party and its front organisation with help of people will resist Tapaimukh Dam works at any cost. Ershad was addressing a Road March at Bhelanagar area in Narsingdi town on Dhaka Sylhet highway Saturday at morning. The rally was presided over by District Jatiya Party President Shafiqul Islam and addressed among others by Habibur Rahman Bhuiyan, advocate Rezaul Karim Bachhed, Omar Hauque Molla, Omar Miah, and Forrukh Ahmed. A total of 50 JP and its front organisation leaders were present in the Road March at Bhelanagar. Jatiya Party Chairman said if Tipaimukh Dam is constructed then seven to eight rivers of Bangladesh will be turned into deserts.
