Tissue culture lab opens in Domar

NILPHAMARI, Mar 22: One big potato seed producing centre having one high tech laboratory has been opened in Domar Upazila in Nilphamari district. In the centre seeds to be produced using tissue culture technology. Sources said Bangladesh Agriculture Development corporation (BADC) would operate the lab built with the financial support of Japan.
The construction of the lab cost Tk 50 million, the single big venture in the district in this sector. The lab would produce breeder seeds, foundation seeds and certified seeds.
