Titas siltup impedes vessel plying

BRAHMANBARIA, Mar 19: Water vessels are facing massive problems in plying smoothly due to silt up of the river Titas.
The river has become narrow and lost its depth as a result water vessels like the trawlers and launches cannot move freely.
Local market- Medda, Majlishpur, Shahbazpur, Chan-dura, Satbarga, Horain-bair, Gokarna ghat, Nurpur, Nasirnagar, Akhaura, Champa-knagar, Monipur, Kuti bazaar and Nabinagar situated on both sides of the river are facing difficulty to carry goods.
