Tk 0.150m fine realised from 10 brickfields

MAGURA, Nov 17 (UNB): A mobile court in Sadar upazila in Magura on Wednesday realized Tk 0.150m in fine from 10 brickfields for violating government prohibition in burning bricks. Sources said the mobile court led Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) and executive magistrate Taiyebur Rahman aided by RAB, police, fire service members and forest and environment department officials conducted drives in the 10 brick kilns and realized the fine for illegally using firewood in burning bricks instead of coal. The court also demolished one brick kiln for manufacturing bricks without licence.
