Tk 0.3m snatched by fake DB men

RAJSHAHI, Mar 9: Impersonating as Detective Branch police(DB police), a gang of muggers snatched away taka three lakh from the possession of one Selim Reza of Kanakhali area of Natore town Tuesday noon. The incident has created awe and worry among the traders of the town. It is learnt, trader Selim Reza, son of Khalilur Rahman Mridha of Jangli area under Natore town, drew Tk. 300,000 from Islami Bank Branch of the Jangli area and was going to UCBL Bank branch at Kanaikhali area of the same town. On the way, a gang of muggers posing as DB police challenged him and forced him to ride on a microbus standing on roadside nearby. The muggers drove him to to Shenbhag area under Puthia Upazila of Rajshahi district and threw him on the roadside from the running microbus. Seriously injured he fell flat on the road unconscious. Local people rescued him in an unconscious state and admitted him to Natore Sadar Hospital. A case has been filed with Puthia thana on this connection.
