Tk 100m Yaba tablets seized

CHITTAGONG, Aug 24: A large consignment of contraband yaba tablets was seized from a trawler in the Karnaphuli river in the early hours of Sunday. Lt Commander of the Coast Guards Darul Huda said the trawler was detained by the Coast Guard members in the estuary of the river following a raid after receiving tips from local boatmen. Some 200,000 tablets worth around Tk 100 million were found in an empty oil container in the trawler, he said.     — Our Correspondent
