Tk 105.3m corruption detected in stadium construction

C'NAWABGANJ, Dec 3: Large-scale irregularity and corruption were detected in the Tk 105.3 million stadium construction by a group of six private contractors. Following the allegations, ADC Sultan Abdul Hamid and executive engineers of different departments today inspected the construction work, 90 per cent of which has been completed. They found that inputs have not been applied in accordance with the specifications given in the contracts. Project engineer Sukumar Shaha admitted flaws in the construction. — UNB
