Tk 1.08m snatched shooting money changer in city

Muggers snatched away Tk 1.08 million after shooting a money exchange trader at Mirpur in the city on Thursday night, reports UNB.
The victim was identified as Sharif Nasir Hossain, 28, a resident of Janata Housing under Mirpur police station.
He has been running money exchange business at Mirpur-10. Police, quoting the victim, said a gang of muggers ridding two motorbikes swooped on Nasir when he reached Janata Housing area at about 7:55 pm.
Then gangsters fired several gunshots targeting Nasir's legs as he tried to resist them.
They snatched away Tk 1.08 million from the businessman and fled the scene leaving him in a pool of blood, Sub-inspector SM Mizan of Mirpur police station said.
He was first rushed to Delta Medical Hospital at Mirpur and then shifted to National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation.
