Tk 10m Indian clothes seized

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel seized smuggled Indian clothes worth Tk 10    million in Manirampur Upazila in Jessore district on Tuesday night. Lieutenant Colonel Jahangir Hossain, commanding officer of BGB Battalion-26, said being tipped off, they launched a drive at Rajganj around 10:00pm. Sensing the presence of the border force, the smugglers fled the scene leaving behind a truck. Later, BGB members recovered a large quantity of Indian saris and 3-pieces worth Tk 10m from the truck. A case was filed, according to UNB.
