Tk 11m fake currencies seized

The Detective Branch (DB) of police in separate raids Saturday night arrested eight persons with fake currency notes to the tune of over Tk 11million (1.10 crore) and equipment used for producing those from the city's Mirpur area. Acting on a tip-off, the DB police arrested the eight in separate raids at Falguni Road and at Kakali Road under Mirpur Police Station and seized the fake local currency from their possession, a DB official said. — BSS
