Tk 16.2m looted from National Bank branch in Natore

NATORE, Sep 7 (UNB): Burglars took away Tk 16.20 million (1.62 crore) from Kanaikhali old bus stand branch of National Bank Limited Sunday midnight.
Two night guards of the bank were arrested in this connection. Police also detained three bank officials for interrogation.
Bank sources said the burglars entered the bank breaking the lock of the main gate of the three-storey building. They then looted the money after unlocking the vault and file cabinet.
On information of bank officials, police visited the spot Monday. They suspected that some bank staff might be involved with the burglary.
When contacted Additional Police Super Mozammel Haque said they have already started a vigorous drive to unearth the mystery behind the burglary.
