Tk 16.94b in revenue realised by Dhaka South Commissionerate

The Dhaka South Commissionerate realised Tk 16.94 billion in revenue during fiscal 2006-07, which is Tk 2.47 billion higher than that of previous fiscal year.
However, it surpassed the target by Tk 40 million during the year. The target for last fiscal was set at Tk 16.90 billion.
According to a press release, the zone achieved the targets set by the National Board of Revenue (NBR) for the last two consecutive fiscals.
The average annual revenue growth rate in the zone is 30.5 per cent over the past two years, which helped the zone earn an additional Tk 6.82 billion during the period.
The Dhaka South Commissionerate could surpass the revenue earning targets because of close monitoring and inspection by the chairman and member of the NBR.
