Sonali Bank Limited would disburse Tk 1.0 billion special credit among the farmers and small traders in the areas devastated by the cyclone Sidr, said a press release.
The bank will also reschedule classified loans for two years without any down payment and subsequently disburse fresh loans to the intended farmers and small traders.
The bank will also give rebate on interest for the period of six months to the rescheduled, existing and newly sanctioned loans.
The credit programme would also be applicable for the people involved in income generating activities up to Tk 0.50 million without any collateral, the release added. Interested farmers and small traders have been advised to contact the local branch manager of the bank.
