Tk 200m allocated for 10,000 Aila-hit families

SATKHIRA, June 30 (UNB): Food and Disaster Management Ministry allocated Tk 200 million for 10,000 Aila-hit families of two upazilas of the district for their rehabilitation.
District Administration sources said the amount will be distributed among 9,500 families of Gabura and Padmapukur Unions in Shyamnagar Upazila and 500 families of Protapnagar Union in Ashashuni Upazila.
Each cyclone Aila affected family will get Tk 20,000 for purchasing two bundles of CI sheet and other house building materials.
Deputy Commissioner of the district M Abdus Samad said the process of opening bank account for the affected people is going on to distribute the money through the bank.
