Tk 20m gold bars seized at HSIA

Customs officials seized 36 gold bars, weighing 4.2 kg, at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) in the capital on Monday morning. Tipped-off, a team of custom officials launched a drive in the flight after all the passengers got down from the aircraft. Later, the team recovered the 36 gold bars, worth Tk 20 million, from a toilet and under a seat in the flight in an abandoned condition about 9:45am. — UNB
