Tk 250m Mercantile Bank loan for poor people

Pragati Sarani Branch of Mercantile Bank Limited will provide Tk 250 million (25 crore) loan to the under-privileged poor people for the overall micro-economic growth of the country.
The bank will disburse the loan through MIDAS Financing Limited, according to a press release.
In this connection, a cheque handover ceremony was arranged by the head office of Mercantile Bank Limited.
MBL Managing Director and CEO Dewan Mujibur Rahman handed over a cheque to MIDAS Financing Managing Director Shafiqul Azam at MBL head office in the city recently.
Also present on the occasion were MBL Additional Managing Director AKM Shahidul Haque, Deputy Managing Director Md Abdul Jalil Chowdhury, Deputy Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Monindra Kumar Nath and Vice President and Head of Pragati Sarani Branch Farook Iqbal, MIDAS Financing Assistant Manager Shafiqur Rahman Khan.
