Tk 25m narcotic items bulldozed

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel destroyed seized narcotic substances worth Tk 25 million (2.5 crore) by crushing them under bulldozer in a limestone field in Joypurhat town on Wednesday afternoon. The border force destroyed the narcotics, including heroin, Phensidyl, toxic liquor, cannabis and injection, in presence of Lieutenant Colonel Abdur Razzak Tarafdar, commanding officer of Joypurhat BGB Battalion-3, executive magistrate Abu Hasnat, Nazmul Kabir, assistant director of Bogra Narcotics Control Department, and Rafiqul Islam, deputy director of Joypurhat Rapid Action Battalion-5. The contraband items were seized from different parts of the district during separate drives recently, according to a news agency.
