Tk 2b defamation suit against Bashundhara Group filed

Editor and publisher of Dainik Prothom Alo Motiur Rahman, and Chairman and Managing Director of Mediastar Limited and Transcom Group Latifur Rahman has filed a Tk 2.0 billion defamation suit against Bashundhara Group of Industries.
Dr Kamal Hossain and Associates on behalf of the Motiur Rahaman and Latifur Raham filed the case Sunday with Forth Joint District Judge Court in Dhaka against top bosses of the Basundhara Group including its chairman Ahmed Akbar Sobhan.
The Court has fixed the date of hearing of the case on January 27, 2009, said a Prothom Alo press release Monday.
