Tk 2m cash award for Tigers announced

State Minister for Youth and Sports Sri Biren Sikder, MP, on Monday announced cash reward of Taka 2.0 million for the Bangladesh national cricket team for their brilliant victory against England in the key Pool A match of the ICC Cricket World Cup in Adelaide, Australia, reports BSS.
The announcement came out immediately after Bangladesh beat England by 15 runs to reach the super eight stage in the World Cup, a press release said Monday.
The state minister also congratulated the players, officials and coaches of the team and urged them to maintain the habit of winning in the remaining matches of the tournament.
He said the 160 million people of the country prayed for the national cricket team and that's why it was possible for the Tigers to earn the historic win.
