CHITTAGONG, Nov 03: City Mayor ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury said today that all necessary preparations to equip the port city with all facilities for holding world cup cricket in Chittagong would be completed by next August.
He said that the CCC has sent a project proposal (PP) to the local government ministry of Tk 3000 million for modernization and building infrastructure facilities for the world cup cricket venue plus accommodation and tourism facilities in Chittagong.
Other projects include enhancement of the gallery to the capacity of 25,000 viewers, installation of flood light, improvement of the drainage system around the divisional stadium, construction of the media centre as advised by the ICC team, that recently visited the venue.
