Tk 3.82b project taken to expand SME

Ministry of Industries has undertaken a project involving Taka 3.82 billion with an aim to expand the Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) in the country, said an official. Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC) will implement the project titled 'Poverty Reduction Through Inclusive and Sustainable Market (PRISM)'. "The project aims to build capacity of small entrepreneurs and increase the participation of womenfolk in productive activities," Shym Sundar Shikdar, BSCIC Chairman, told BSS.
