Tk 480m distributed among Jul-Aug victims

July Shaheed Smriti Foundation has so far distributed about Tk 479.8 million among the families of those killed and injured during the student-people uprising, reports BSS.
A total of 2,228 families of the victims, including 648 martyrs' families and 1,580 injured people received financial assistance from the foundation.
Chief Adviser's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam said about Tk 320.4 million has been distributed among the families of 648 martyrs while over Tk 155.8 million to 1,580 injured people of the July uprising.
Noting that the assistance has been given initially, he said the government is committed to staying always beside the families of the victims in the student-people uprising.
