Tk 50,000 reward announced for suspect’s info

Jahangirnagar University (JU) authorities have announced a monetary reward amounting to Tk 50,000 asking for information to confirm the identity of the suspect in the attempted rape of a female student on the university campus.
The authorities have also announced five special measures to beef up security on the campus following the rape attempt incident.
The announcements were made at a press briefing held at the university's Senate Hall on Thursday morning.
JU Treasurer Prof Dr Md Abdur Rob and Proctor Prof Dr A K M Rashidul Alam addressed the briefing and outlined the latest administrative and security decisions taken in response to the incident.
Prof Abdur Rob said, "The university administration remains deeply concerned over the incident that took place on May 12 and is committed to ensuring the arrest and exemplary punishment of the perpetrator."
