Tk 5m fake notes recovered: 6 held

Detectives in separate drives arrested six alleged members of a fake currency racket along with counterfeit notes worth Tk 5 million from different parts of Dhaka on Friday night. Tipped off, a team of Branch (DB) of police conducted separate drives in Badda and Rampura areas of the city and arrested six people along with fake currency notes worth Tk 5m and note forging tools at night, said Masudur Rahman, deputy commissioner (Media) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police. Details of the arrestees would be revealed later through a press conference of DB, he added, according to UNB.
