Tk 710. 92m BOU budget announced

Bangladesh Open University (BOU) has announced a Tk 710. 92 million budget for the fiscal 2008-2009, said a press release.
BOU treasurer AKM Rohul Amin Akanda placed the budget at the 103rd meeting of the board of governors held Tuesday with BOU Vice-Chancellor M Farid Ahmed in the chair.
The BOU budget includes Tk 56.5 million for development expenditure to be incurred under the annual development programme (ADP).
Out of the total amount of the budget, Bangladesh University Grants Commission (UGC) will provide Tk 180 million as government grant and Tk 430 million of the budget will be financed from BOU's own sources.
A total of 67.06 per cent of the budget will be spent for academic while 32.94 per cent for co-academic purposes.
The meeting also approved the revised budget of Tk 687.63 million for the fiscal 2007-2008.
