Tk 728 million CU budget announced

CHITTAGONG, June 15: The proposed budget worth Tk 728 million of Chittagong University (CU) for the 2008-2009 fiscal was approved in a joint meeting of the Finance Committee and Syndicate of the university Saturday held at the conference room with the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. M Bodiul Alam in the chair.
The revised budget worth Tk 692 million for the 2007-2008 fiscal was also approved in the said meeting, CU sources said.
CU Comptroller of Accounts (acting) Md Abdul Monayem presented the budget.
Later, finance and syndicate members took part in the discussion depicting different aspects of the proposed budget for 2008-2009 fiscal.
CU sources further said, the budget would be placed in the upcoming meeting of the CU Senate to be held on June 28 next.
