Tk 803 bn ADP okayed

The government has approved Annual Development Programme (ADP) of Tk 803.15 billion for the upcoming 2014-15 fiscal -- Tk 203.15 billion more than the revised ADP of the current fiscal.
The approval came from a meeting of the National Economic Council (NEC) presided over by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Tuesday. Tk 56.81 billion has been allocated for autonomous institutions, Planning Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal, who was also present at the meeting, told mediapersons. The government will provide Tk 513.31 billion while Tk 277 billion is expected as project assistance. Tk 81 billion has been earmarked for the Padma bridge, the country’s largest ever infrastructure project. The initial ADP for the current 2013-14 fiscal was Tk 658.72, which was later downsized to Tk 600 billion, according to bdnews24.com.
