Tk 8m Indian goods seized in Benapole

BENAPOLE : Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) seized huge Indian clothes, imitation jewellery, cosmetics, vehicle parts and Phensidyl syrup worth about Tk 8.10 million from different borders here Thursday night, according to a news agency.
A BGB patrol team conducted anti-smuggling drives in Amrakhali, Chhota Achra and Benapole Railway Station areas as part of their regular raid and seized the contraband items, said Mohammad Liakat Ali, deputy commanding officer of Benapole BGB Battalion-26.
The seized goods were deposited to the customs godowns and Maheshpur police station.
