Tk 9b allocated to maintain rural roads, culverts in FY15

An amount of Tk 9 billion (900 crore) against the demand of Tk 35b (3,500 cr) has been allocated to maintain the rural roads and culverts in fiscal year 2014-2015, LGRD and Cooperatives Minister Syed Ashraful Islam has said. He said that another Tk 3b (300 cr) under Rural Transport Improvement Project-2; Tk 450 million under Northern Bangladesh Integrated Development Project; and Tk 500 million under the projects being sponsored by GOB fund have also been allocated. He said this in replies to a starred question of Awami League MP Israfil Alam (Noagaon-6) in the Jatiya Sangsad on Monday, according to a news agency.
