TK Group chairman Abu Tayab expires

CHITTAGONG, Feb 10: Noted industrialist, chairman of TK Group of Industries and freedom fighter Md Abu Tayab passed away today at a hospital in Dhaka. He was 73.
He left wife, three sons, two daughters and a host of relatives to mourn the death. He is father of Hasnat Md Abu Obida, director of Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry and managing director of Mef Shoes, a fully export oriented shoes manufacturing company in Chittagong.
His first Namaj-e-Janaja was held at the DOHS Mosque in Dhaka followed by second Janaja at Jamiatul Falah ground mosque Saturday evening and his village mosque at Manasa under Patiya upazila in Chittagong on Sunday. He will be buried at the village graveyard on Sunday.
Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Mahbubul Alam, senior vice president Nurun Newaz Selim and vice president Syed Jamal Ahmed on behalf of the CCCI directors expressed sorrow at the sad demise of the industrialist. They expressed deep feeling for family members of late Abu Tayab and termed him as a very successful entrepreneur, honest man and social organiser.
President of the Chittagong Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Khalilur Rahman, former FBCCI director Amirul Haque and officers, employees and workers of the Mef Shoes expressed profound shock at his death.
