Tk1.03m revenue collected from income tax fair

Taka 1.03m (Tk13 lakh) was collected on the fourth day of the week long Income Tax Fair in Khulna. Nearly 1,868 people have taken services from the fair till Saturday evening while 492 persons submitted their return and fresh tax identification numbers (TIN) were issued to 270 taxpayers. The theme of this year’s fair is "Shukhi Swadesh Gortey Chai. Aikorer Bikolpo Nai," and the slogan is "Samridhir Sonali Din Ante Holey Aikor Din." Taxpayers and visitors of Khulna were seen receiving tax services from the fair at Fairway Hall in the city. At least 36 stalls including a bank are facilitating the payment of income tax return at the fair which remains open from 10.00am to 5.00pm every day. On September 16, the weeklong fair was opened at Fairway Hall of Bangladesh Navy in the city’s Khalishpur area, according to BSS.
