Tofail leaves for Geneva Wednesday

Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed will leave Dhaka for Geneva on Wednesday to attend the preparatory meeting of the WTO Ministerial Conference.
The commerce minister has schedule to hold meetings with WTO Director General and ambassadors of influential countries on September 17 and 18, so the issues of LDCs are presented at the 10th WTO ministerial Conference with due priority.
The Conference is set to take place on December 15-18 in Nairobi of Kenya, BSS quoted a Commerce Ministry press release on Tuesday.
Earlier, Tofail Ahmed had played laudable and effective role for realizing the demands of the LDCs from the developed countries.
Later, the minister will move to Italy from Geneva to attend Bangladesh Day and Business Forum organized for Expo Milano-2015.
Bangladesh Day would be organized on September 20 while Business Forum on the following day in association with the Milan Chamber.
Italian businessmen, importers and investors are expected to attend the Business Forum, where different opportunities and facilities being offered by Bangladesh government would be highlighted.
The minister is expected to return home on September 23.
